Het monteren van lagers op conische zittingen kan een lastige en tijdrovende klus zijn. Met behulp van een SKF hydraulische moer kunnen de hoge opdrijfkrachten die nodig zijn voor het monteren van lagers eenvoudig en snel worden toegepast. Ook het demonteren van lagers op adapter- of uittrekbussen is vaak een moeilijke en tijdrovende klus. Deze problemen kunnen verminderd worden door het gebruik van een SKF Hydraulic Nut. Er wordt olie in de moer gepompt en de zuiger wordt naar buiten gedrukt met een kracht die voldoende is om de huls vrij te maken. Alle SKF HMV ..E moeren worden geleverd met een snelkoppeling die past op de hydraulische pompen van SKF.
